The Elevator Maintenance team is responsible for the care and maintenance of approximately 163 elevators, considered to be highly visible 'life-safety support systems, throughout the greater Austin area. The elevator technicians oversee the elevator contractor(s) to ensure all elevators are properly maintained and serviced in accordance with the elevator maintenance contracts and regulatory requirements. Additionally, the elevator technicians perform vendor performance reporting. Program also works with TFC staff and tenant representatives to effectively communicate status on the repair, installation and/or modification of elevators and related equipment. Since elevators are regulated for safety and performance in the State of Texas, interface with Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) is required to ensure that all elevators are properly inspected, maintained, and licensed.
