Meet the TFC Commissioners

The Texas Facilities Commission performs its mission under board oversight.  The Commission consists of seven members appointed by State Leadership. The Governor appoints three members. Two additional appointments by the Governor come from a list of nominees submitted by the Speaker of the House of Representatives. Two members are appointed by the Lieutenant Governor. Commissioners are community, civic, and business leaders from around the State.

The Commission meets about nine times a year and directs the agency policy's in a public process under the Texas Open Meetings Act.

The Executive Director manages the day-to-day business of this agency who employs agency staff to fulfill the duties and responsibilities assigned by law or delegated to him by the Commission.

Commissioner Brian Bailey

Appointed April 8, 2019 for a term ending January 31, 2027

Governor Greg Abbott appointed Brian Bailey to the Texas Facilities Commission.  

Brian A. Bailey of Austin has served on the Texas Facilities Commission since May 2019. He is a member of the Greater Austin Crime Commission and The University of Texas Chancellor’s Council Executive Committee. Bailey received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Houston.

Appointed October 29, 2018 for a term ending January 31, 2019

Reappointed March 15, 2019 for a term ending January 31, 2025

Nominated by the Speaker of the Texas House of Representatives. Governor Greg Abbott approved the nomination and appointed C. Price Wagner to the Texas Facilities Commission.

C. Price Wagner of Dallas is a Senior Vice President of Lincoln Property Company.  He is a member of the Salesmanship Club of Dallas.  Wagner received a Bachelor of Science in economics from Texas A&M University and a Master of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin.

Appointed September 8, 2020 for a term ending January 31, 2023

Reappointed April 14, 2023 for a term ending January 31, 2029

Governor Greg Abbott appointed Eddy Betancourt to the Texas Facilities Commission.  

Eddy Betancourt of Mission is President of R&B General Construction Co Inc., Co-owner and President of National Tire and Wheel, LLC, and a General Retail Partner Manager for E2H Investments.  He is a member of the McAllen Board of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.  Additionally, he is a member of the Hidalgo County Appraisal District Board of Directors and ENACTUS Advisory Board. Betancourt received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and International Business Studies from The University of Texas-Pan American.


 

Commissioner Bob Wetmore

Austin, Texas

Appointed on July 24, 2023 for a term ending January 31, 2027

Bob Wetmore of Austin is principal and founding partner of Cornerstone Architects, LLP. He is a member of the Texas Board of Architectural Examiners and the Capitol Complex Master Plan Expert Review Panel. He has served on the boards of Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children (CASA) of Travis County, Austin Boys’ Choir, the Home Builders Association of Greater Austin, and as an architectural representative for the Custom Residential Architects Network. Additionally, he is a graduate of the Leadership Austin program and works with several advocacy organizations and volunteers throughout the city of Austin. Wetmore received a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the College of Engineering at Texas Tech University.

Appointed on June 9, 2023 for a term ending January 31, 2027

Daniel Signorelli, of The Woodlands, is the CEO of the Signorelli Company, a real estate development firm. He is a member of the Fort Bend County Economic Development Council, a general partner member of the Greater Houston Partnership, and member of the Greater East Montgomery County Council. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University.
