decoractive state image decoractive state image The Building Automation Systems team is responsible for maintaining, commissioning, and improving building controls systems. Building controls systems include but are not limited to chilled water and hot water systems, lab environments, zone temperature control, water treatment processes, lighting control, and building supply and exhaust air control, and energy metering. They are also responsible for developing and implementing projects to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the various systems while still maintaining the required equipment performance. The department also investigates various control problems and completes work order requests pertaining to the building controls equipment. The Building Automation team will also re-commission existing control systems to provide the most effective and energy efficiency solutions. The department also monitors and maintains the building network connectivity for building controls, fire controls, and security systems within the TFC building inventory.
